The Fellowship Tablet is the result of a discussion with a Dundee Rotarian, a confectionary consultant, who suggested that a tablet might work well with a touch of the ‘special ingredient’ added.   In exchange for a bottle of The Fellowship Malt, an initial batch of the Fellowship Malt Tablet was produced by Athol Tablet based in Coupar Angus.  The Tablet was sampled and greatly appreciated by many visitors to the Food Fest during the Rotary Motorfun event in June 2010. This prompted the decision to 'give it a go' and, over the 2010/2011 Rotary year, bars of tablet have been sold weekly at the Elgin club and on every possible occasion elsewhere.

We are pleased to report that there are a lot of people with a sweet tooth who enjoyed the tablet and very good sales enabled us to cover all set up costs within one Rotary year.

In future, bars and boxes of Fellowship Tablet will be available for purchase wherever The Fellowship Malt is being sold e.g. at Rotary District events and National Conferences and any other event or function where sales can be generated.

Each box comprises 24 bars of tablet.  Each box is heavy and would be too costly to consider commercial carriage but orders for boxes will be taken on the basis that delivery can be arranged by other means or uplifted at events where The Fellowship Malt is attending.  Complete boxes can be sold on a wholesale basis, enabling  purchasers to sell on the bars individually and generate some profit for charitable purposes.

It is hoped that Fellowship Tablet will generate in the region of £ 500 for The Rotary Foundation in a 12 month period. If sales can be increased, then this sum will be higher.

About the Tablet

‘The tablet is made in Scotland with the best of ingredients and cooked in small pans to ensure it is still produced the good old fashioned way.  A good size dram of Fellowship™ Malt Whisky is added to give the tablet its unique taste.  It is an ideal accompaniment to the Fellowship™ Malt Whisky and is ‘made to share’.
